How to Give
Cash
Gifts may be made by check or credit card. Complete the information on the donation envelope you received in the mail and send with your gift to the school. Checks are payable to Alexander Dawson School. Or donate via credit card online at www.givetodawson.org.
Monthly Contributions
You may choose to pledge an amount to Dawson and spread your donation payments over the course of several months, with all payments due by June 30 of that school year. The development office can charge your credit card each month as you instruct. Complete and send the donation envelope that you received in the mail or donate online at www.givetodawson.org.
Matching Gifts
You may be able to double or even triple your donation with a matching gift from your employer and the gift will be credited to your giving society membership. There are thousands of companies that match gifts to independent schools. Ask your employer for more information and please remember to include your matching gift form with your contribution. Contact the development office if you have questions.
Honorary or Memorial Gifts through the Dawson Annual Fund
You may make a gift in honor of a special person. Send us the name of the person you wish to honor or remember when you make your gift. We will send you a receipt for the gift and notify the honoree or the family of the loved one of your generosity.
Appreciated Securities
Gifts of stocks, bonds, and other securities may offer considerable capital gains tax savings. For more information on making a gift of securities, please contact the development office.
Tangible Personal Property (Gifts-in-Kind)
A gift of assets (real estate, equipment, vehicles, etc.) may be given to Dawson for educational purposes or for sale. Responsibility for appraisal rests with the donor.
Planned Giving
Planned giving involves making a charitable gift of assets to Dawson. Also known as deferred giving, the gifts are planned now and fulfilled later.
