Other Expenses

Books

In our Middle and Upper Schools, families are responsible for the actual cost of books – approximately $350 per year for Middle School (grades 7 & 8) and $500 per year for Upper School.  MBS is our online bookstore, however books can be found from many different sources, including the Dawson Parent Association’s free “Text Book Exchange”.

iPads

Grades 5 through 9 are required to have iPads.  These are used daily in classes and are considered an integral tool in the learning process.  Exact specifications and information about our iPad rental program is available on the Forms and Documents page of the website.

Transportation

There is a small cost for those families choosing to participate in Dawson’s bus program.  For information on cost please visit the Transportation link.

Winterim

The Middle and Upper Schools participate in a week-long experiential education program each spring.  The cost of these programs will vary depending on the option that students and families select.  Please visit our Experiential Education links by division for more information about this program.

Financial Aid

For those families receiving financial aid, you will also receive aid for the books, iPad, transportation and Winterim expenses listed above. For more information about financial aid, please visit the financial aid links.
