Why DGA

Dawson School is a proven leader in experiential education. For four decades, we have led hundreds of student trips—regional, national, and international—during the school year. Whether you attend Dawson or another school, we invite you to join our life-changing summer travel program, Dawson Global Adventures (DGA).

Drawing upon our experience and expertise, DGA trips are educator-designed and educator-led. Trip leaders have direct connections with their destinations and are focused on providing authentic experiences and meaningful interactions with local communities.

Track record

Over the past 40 years, Dawson teachers have successfully led hundreds of student trips, including international trips to locations on five continents.

Expert trip leaders

Our trip leaders have skills, connections, and content knowledge directly related to their destinations. As teachers, they also know how to facilitate rich educational experiences for students.

Small groups

Each trip is capped at 14 students, with one male leader and one female leader, in addition to local guides or partners.

Safety

Through its safety protocol, DGA takes every necessary precaution to ensure student safety.

Focused travel

Whether it’s language, culture, service, science, or adventure, each trip has a unique focus and purpose.

Locally based

DGA is based right here in Boulder County. When considering DGA, you can meet trip leaders, attend information nights, and ask questions in person.

Before departure, students and trip leaders will meet multiple times to prepare for the trip. Out-of-town students may participate through Skype if they cannot attend in person.

Thanks to in-country connections, DGA is able to offer very competitive pricing.
