St. Louis

The St. Louis Winterim began today with a very early 6:00 a.m. meetup at the airport. We arrived on a beautiful spring day with redbuds, dogwoods, and daffodils in full bloom. After a calzone lunch (scouted by students), we settled into our hotel. Some students refreshed with a nap and others exercised. We then took a brief walk into Forest Park and discussed the students’ first impressions of the city. They pointed out differences such as older architecture, dedicated greenscapes in the middle of the city, and the less “grid-like” layout of streets. We had a take-out dinner of tacos and burritos in our hotel meeting space and bedded down early after a long travel day.
