Calwood

Hello from snowy Calwood! Wow- Calwood got 45 inches of snow during this recent storm, which is crazy! The staff here did a fabulous job clearing the roads and pathways for us, and all this snow allowed for a LOT of outdoor fun! We split into 4 groups, and activities ranged from sledding to fire starting to snow forts and snow tunnel building. Many kids even got to try out snowshoeing!

 

Our Upper School Adventure Leaders have been amazing. They have helped the 6th graders through feelings of homesickness and guided them during activities. Bella W. turned around and helped me get back up (multiple times) each time I fell into several feet of snow on our short hike. (They ran out of snow shoes, and I did not fare well trying to stomp through 45 inches of fresh snow.)
