Yellowstone

Written by the boys
Day 4
We snowshoed 4 miles up Junction Butte, a prominent feature in the park where the Lamar River meets the Yellowstone River. The biggest wolfpack in the park is named after Junction Butte.  It was a beautiful and sunny day, and we were treated to the sight of a soaring bald eagle in the sky. Earlier in the day, we also saw a different bald eagle perched in a tree and were able to use the spotting scopes to get a good look. Evening time is dominated by intense Monopoly games in the boys' cabin. However, during a break from the battle, the boys spent time spotting big horn sheep across the canyon from our cabins.
