Omnivorous Adventure

Day 4
No milking cows, chasing chickens, or learning about proper pHs in foodstuffs today. Today was all about eating! We had Chefs Ashley and Gary and their Magic Food Bus on campus. They are Dawson family, and we love to bring them back for visits and lessons. We made guacamole, fried our own chips and that was just the starter. The kids cooked their lunch on the truck, and then we made them cook ours and that of a few other faculty members. We 'tipped' by excessively complimenting their cooking. But really, everyone had a fabulous lunch. Ashley and Gary also went over the ins and outs of running their small business, from food inspections to county taxes to wholesale purchasing; it was fascinating.  It was a fun and delicious way to end our week.
