Head Varsity Baseball Coach

Mike Green brought two decades of coaching experience and four playing to Dawson when he served as the Mustangs’ assistant baseball coach during the 2010 season. A year later was promoted to head coach where he also oversees the school’s first summer baseball program and winter training camps created under his leadership.

Green is the founder and executive director of The Sports Family Club in Boulder, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives through positive sports and activities. The Club provides clinics and camps in baseball, basketball, hockey, football and golf, allowing children who want to improve in a sport the opportunity to do so in areas that are currently under served by these events. The Club creates new opportunities for fun, learning and health to anyone who is interested regardless of athletic ability, status or socio-economic condition.
A Los Angeles native and multi-sport athlete, Green grew up surfing and playing baseball, football, basketball, golf, and more. He was an all-star baseball player and all-league linebacker. He served in the Navy after high school studying avionics and went on to a successful career in technical sales.

He has relationships in baseball from College World Series championship coaches, current MLB scouts, current and retired MLB and college players.
