During this language and cultural exchange, Dawson students spend several weeks living with a host family, attending classes, and experiencing Spanish culture firsthand. In the spring, Dawson students then host their Spanish siblings back in Colorado. For over twenty years, Dawson has partnered with Colegio Internacional Europa, an independent K-12 school in Seville, Spain.
Dates for Spain Immersion are TBD.

Eligibility: Dawson sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are either studying Spanish III or have already completed Spanish III or higher. Dawson’s Language Immersion Program seeks motivated students who are in good academic standing and are socially and emotionally ready to spend five weeks abroad. This is a two-way exchange, so participating Dawson families will host a Spanish exchange student for four-to-five weeks in April/May 2019.

How to apply: Please download and complete (either handwritten or typed) the application at right. Please either email or hand-deliver your completed application to Gia Upchurch by September 17, 2018.

Interviews with applicants will take place September 19 - October 3, and acceptance notification will be October 5. Contract and deposit are due October 12.

Cost: The total cost for this four-week program will not exceed $3,500. The exact price will be determined by the cost of airfare and the total number of students who enroll. Financial assistance is available for this program, just as it is for an international Winterim trip.
