Face Your Fears Winterim

Face Your Fears blog post for Wednesday, March 22:

Who knew that beautiful Cheesman park in Denver used to be a cemetery? Local author Cynthia Swanson did, and now the Face Your Fears Winterim members also know the park's story. Ms. Swanson met with us at the Cheesman Pavilion to speak about her short story "Pieces of Everyone, Everywhere" and discuss writing historical fiction with the group.

And if that wasn't inspiring enough for these students working on original short stories in the horror/thriller/mystery/suspense genres, our second graveyard visit of the day sure was when we successfully located the grave of Lafayette's supposed vampire, former Transylvanian Fodor Glava. (We made sure to leave coins on his gravestone, just as many others have done before us.)
