COVID Protocols for Dawson On-Campus Events

Dawson has successfully remained fully open, with in-person classes for grades K-12 full-time throughout the pandemic, through a combination of layered strategies to mitigate the spread of COVID, adherence to public health guidelines, and shared community commitment.

To date, we have had zero classroom spread of COVID at Dawson.
* Our large campus and smaller community allows for less density and facilitates outdoor learning and dining.
* Our buildings' ventilation systems have been enhanced and maximized.
* You will see frequent hygiene stations.
* Individuals with symptoms stay home unless they have a negative test.
* While we do not mandate vaccination, it is strongly encouraged and our faculty/staff and eligible students are at or above area vaccination rates.

Before you arrive at Dawson,
* Make sure you done a health self-screening and please stay home if you have any symptoms at all - even if it just seems like allergies or a reaction from poor air quality. We will be more than happy to arrange a custom visit for you at a later date.

Once on campus,
* All guests aged 2 and up should have a mask and wear it properly over both nose and mouth at all times when indoors, regardless of vaccination status. If you forget a mask, one will be provided for you. If you are not able to wear a mask, we ask that you RSVP for our November 6 Virtual Open House.

Thank you for complying and supporting health and safety at Dawson.
