Where Does Your Food Come From? Winterim

This morning our winterim headed north to Fort Collins.  We visited Hazel Dell Farms to explore the mushroom farm from which Dawson School receives a lot of the mushrooms found in the salad bar.  We were all very fascinated to learn about how the mushrooms are farmed as we went behind the scenes to see how the mushrooms are grown.  After our tour, we headed over to lunch at one of the many restaurants, Hazel Dell Farms supplies.  In the afternoon, we returned to campus and spent the afternoon doing more work in the Dawson garden.
