Hawaii Winterim

We have spent the last two mornings in the Limahuli Preserve, the managed forest behind the Limahuli Gardens. Our work there has included cleaning hillsides of weeds/debris from tree removal and planting various species of native and endemic plants. Students have had the opportunity to eat lunch each day next to a mountain stream, and today, three students caught freshwater prawns. We also collected lemons and mamaki leaves to make tea this evening.
