Britain Winterim 3/23

We spent this morning on the Bonnie shores of Loch Lomond. The picture here shows the fourth of ten rainbows we saw today. From Loch Lomond, we drove back through Callander, home of an old Roman fort, for lunch, and on to Doune Castle, a relatively untouched 14th-century ruin where you can walk about pretty freely inside. It was a Jacobite stronghold during the Jacobite Rebellion and was used to house prisoners during that time. We ended the Day at Stirling Castle, the most important site for Scottish monarchs for thousands of years. I’ve included pictures of both the castle and views from the castle.
