Dawson Parent Association


We’re thrilled to have you as part of the Dawson Parent Association (DPA). Being a parent or guardian of a current Dawson School student means you’re a member of the active DPA community and a welcome participant in all we do to make Dawson extraordinary.

Our Goals are:

  • To build a strong sense of community and school spirit by facilitating dynamic events geared towards bringing families together and creating rich new relationships.
  • To support the students, faculty and staff through curriculum enrichment and creative displays of gratitude.
  • To create a strong avenue of communication between the Dawson School Administration and the Dawson Parent Community.

DPA Community Building Initiatives: These are various events designed to bring families together and have a great time in the act. Think, Dawson Fest, Holiday Coffee & Market, Faculty/Staff Appreciation Breakfast, Quiz Night. 

DPA Supported Fundraisers: We work directly with the Dawson School Development Office to assist them with their efforts, raising funds for operating expenses and educational opportunities for our beloved students and faculty. Think, The Dawson Fund, the Spring Auction & Gala, Farm To Table Dinner.

DPA All-Parent Meetings
One of the best ways to connect with parents and stay informed about the school. Meetings typically include brief updates from DPA leadership and committees and Dawson administrators, and may include a presentation of topics of interest. Please join us!

Currently meetings are on Zoom, usually at 10:00 a.m.; a link will be sent prior to the meeting. In the future, we will return to our typical format:
  - Coffee, social time, grocery card sales
  - DPA & Dawson administration updates
  - Staff presentations on topics parents have requested
  - Division breakout sessions, as needed

Additional Calendar Information
At this time, DPA is working with Dawson to modify and/or reschedule some of our community-builder events, including Dawson Fest, Quiz Night, and the Holiday Coffee & Market; stay tuned for updates.
The Dawson annual Spring Auction & Gala is planned for Saturday, April 17 - save the date!
