Citizen: You / Day Three

It was a beautiful day in DC! Finally, the weather was warm enough to shed layers and see the cherry blossoms in fuller bloom.

We started our day at the Capitol for a tour and photo ops. Last year the Capitol was closed for pandemic and security reasons, so it was great to be back inside this year!

We then walked the Mall to the Holocaust Memorial Museum. The visit was a powerful experience for us all, leading to deep conversation and reflection.

We were impressed with how respectful our group was at both sites today!

We ended the evening with dinner and Georgetown cupcakes before some hotel time.

Wednesday takes us to Philadelphia and a dive into the history of the Declaration and Constitution.
