Sports Science for All Abilities Winterim 3/22

Our group had a great day at Eldora Ski Resort working with Ignite Adaptive Sports. We were able to visit and work with Kevin Wilson, the Operations Manager, and other volunteers about their fantastic organization. Established in 1975, Ignite is a volunteer-run organization with 200+ volunteers. They provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities the best possible winter sports experience for every athlete. Ignite's athletes range in age from 5 to almost 90 and have varying disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, missing limbs, paralysis, visual impairments, and post-traumatic stress disorder, with many experiencing more than one type of disability. It takes many volunteers every day to make this program happen and we can't thank them enough for allowing us to be a part of it.
