Sports Science for All Abilities Winterim 3/23

We started the day with our first student presentation when Rylie updated the group on “Nutrition for Endurance Athletes.” The students then formulated a workout plan based on what they’ve learned during this Winterim using the weights and other equipment in Dawson’s workout room. After lunch, we headed for some fun at Top Golf. Our group included a wide range of abilities, from Dawson golf team members to some who’d never picked up a club before. Though she had never played before, Linda quickly developed an effective swing, winning her group. To round out the experience, the students conducted an experiment on how not to fuel for peak athletic performance.
